Hayrides -  A 30 minute wagon ride through a working apple orchard is followed by a fireside dinner where local musicians bring a taste of the mountains and our local culture to your family. The dinner at the campfire consists of homemade chili, cornbread, soda, water, and homemade dessert, as well as hot dogs and marshmallows for roasting. After dinner, you can end the evening with a game of horseshoes next to the fire. The entire evening usually lasts about 1 1/2 hours and is held an hour before nightfall yearlong.
This activity is great for large groups who want to enjoy a campfire dinner with entertainment. We need a minimum of 8 people to have a hayride, but can always try to combine smaller families together to reach the required minimum number. Please be sure to ask for directions to the hayride when booking, as the hay ride is at Mountain View Apple Orchard, not Blanche Manor. (706-455-7433)

Tellico North Carolina Trails -

Call 828-837-5152 for more information about Tellico

It is one of only a few areas in the National Forest in North Carolina where off-road vehicles may be used. The trails are open to all uses-trail bikes, all-terrain vehicles, and four-wheel drive vehicles-except one trail that's open to ATV use only.

Offering 40 miles of trails, Upper Tellico’s 8,000 acres are known for great fourwheeling. The Tellico River crosses this high elevation basin’s rugged, steep terrain. Most trails are open to all types of off-highway vehicles; one trail is restricted to all-terrain vehicles only. Many trails are rough and challenging, requiring front and rear tow hooks, special tires, and other features on 4-wheel drive vehicles. Only the access road is rated as “easy.” Upper Tellico is on the Tennessee State line about 13 miles north of Murphy.

Eleven trails make up the Upper Tellico Off-Road Vehicle Area.
